Free parking will be available at Hines Meadow Carpark and Nicholsons Walk Carpark. Both car parks are a short walk away from the start/finish area. Click here to see the map.



Participants will start individually at 10-15 second intervals to maintain social distancing, with a recommended 15-minute arrival window allocated and communicated prior to the event. Participants from the same household/bubble will be permitted to start together (if participating in the same distance/category) and should follow the relevant instructions to arrive and/or start at the later of any times communicated (if different).



The race route is on road and is a flat, fast and traffic free, officially measured course. It is a two-lap course taking you alongside the river to Cookham, before returning to Maidenhead. A detailed route map can be found on the race website. The race is well signed by marshals and run on closed roads. The front runner in each event will be lead around the course by a highly qualified and experienced lead motor vehicle marshal. Click here to see the map.



We have first aid points out around the courses and in the race village. Please alert a marshal if you or any other runner is having difficulties. Our first aid providers will be mobile over the whole course.



The race finishes where it starts. You will be handed a medal and water by our finish line volunteers. First aid will be available here if you need it. Once finished, participants should continue moving and follow signage and marshal directions to keep the area clear for other finishers. Any post-event rewards (medal, water etc.) will be self-service (following hand-sanitisation) to ensure there is no contact amongst staff and participants.



Bib Numbers will be mailed to all participants that have entered by midnight on the Sunday prior to the event and have provided a valid UK address during registration. When a bib cannot be mailed due to an incomplete/invalid address - and in cases where it does not arrive - participants can collect a new/replacement bib at Nicholsons Shopping Centre on Saturday 4th September (between 11:00 - 15:00) or on the morning of the event.


Participants do not need to contact us with respect to non-receipt of their bib but should be prepared to show their booking confirmation on arrival/collection if requested.


To be fastened to the front of your top using safety pins provided, your number should remain visible at all times. A timing chip is attached to the back of the bib and should not be removed.




A baggage tag will be on the bottom of your race number – just tear it off and tie the tag to your bag before taking it to the baggage zone. Be prepared to show your race number in order to retrieve your bag afterwards.



There will be portable toilets in the Event Village. There are no race toilets along the route, however, there are public toilets in Cookham as you turn left into School Lane (please note – they are 100m past the School Lane turning, meaning they are off the course).



We do not advise that you wear headphones – it is important that you can hear marshals’ instructions and are aware of other runners and your surroundings. However, we do not ban them. We recommend bone conduction headphones.



There will be 4 water stations along the course, at approximately 3/6/9/12 miles. You will also be given water at the finish. There will be no water at the start, so please bring your own supply if you need a drink beforehand. Please dispose of your cups in the bins provided after each water station. Water only will be provided at the water stations.



Results will be posted on the event website shortly after the race.
