When will entries close?

Entries will close on Thursday 2nd September 2021.

 

Can we pay/enter as a group/company?

Are there entries on the day?

Entry on the Day will not be available at the event, but late entries will be accepted at Nicholsons Shopping Centre between 11:00 - 15:00 on Saturday 4th September only (subject to availability and a £5 surcharge).

 

How do I know if my online entry worked?

You will receive an automated confirmation email.

How/when do I receive my race pack?

Bib Numbers will be mailed to all participants that have entered by midnight on the Sunday prior to the event and have provided a valid UK address during registration. When a bib cannot be mailed due to an incomplete/invalid address - and in cases where it does not arrive - participants can collect a new/replacement bib at Nicholsons Shopping Centre on Saturday 4th September (between 11:00 - 15:00) or on the morning of the event.

 

I ran in the inaugural race in 2011 - how do I make sure I get my usual race number?

You will automatically receive your original race number - you do not need to do anything.

 

Can I give my race number to someone else?

Entrants are NOT PERMITTED to transfer their registration/number to another participant without confirmation from The Race Organiser Ltd. Participating in someone else's place can have serious consequences in the case of a medical emergency. Furthermore, the accuracy of race results is dependent on our ability to maintain accurate information about competitors and we reserve the right to disqualify any participant who does not adhere to these stipulations.

 

Are there any age restrictions?

You must be at least 17 years of age on event day to take part in the Half Marathon.

 

Am I allowed to raise money for a nominated charity?

You are welcome to raise money for whichever charity you choose.

ON THE DAY

Where is the Race Village?

The Race Village is in Maidenhead United Football Club, York Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1SF.

 

Is there parking?

Yes, there is plenty of free town centre parking available at Hines Meadow Car Park and Nicholsons Walk Car Park.

 

What is the nearest station to the start?

Maidenhead Railway Station – a short 5 mins walk.

 

What time should I arrive on the day?

Enquiries: 7:30.

Start Times: Between 8:30 - 10:00. Allocated with respect to estimated finish time (prioritising quicker times) and communicated prior to the event by email and/or SMS, these times may be subject to change.

 

Is there anywhere I can leave my bag while I'm competing?

Yes, there will be a baggage drop in the event village.

 

Are there toilets available?

Yes, there will be toilets available.

 

Are there showers?

Sorry, no shower facilities available.

 

Are there toilets along the course?

There are no portaloos along the course.

 

Can I wear headphones?

Noise-cancelling earphones/headphones are prohibited and whilst we discourage the use of other earphones/headphones at this event, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a minimum volume such that instructions from marshals or other race officials can be clearly understood. We reserve the right to disqualify participants who cannot hear instructions as a result of their use.

 

Is there any first aid on the course?

There is full medical cover throughout the race.

 

Are there any water stations on the course?

Yes, you will pass water stations during the race and there will be water at the finish.

 

Is there a time limit on finishing the race?

There is no official cut-off time, however marshals will be stood down after 3 hours and road closures may be lifted. If you are still running after 3 hours, please follow signage carefully and run on the pavements. Please contact us if this is a worry for you.

AFTER THE RACE

When and where will the results be published?

Results will be published on the 'Results' tab on the event website as soon as possible after the event.

 

Where can I find photos afterwards?

Photos will be published on the event website as soon as possible after the event.

 

Are there food or refreshments at the event?

Yes, you will be able to buy coffee, tea, food, etc. before and after the race.

 

Are there any prizes?

Yes – prizes are awarded to the first three male & female finishers plus first male and female veteran in each race distance, plus 1st local male/female.

 

Will I get a medal at the finish?

Yes, all runners completing the race will receive a fantastic finisher's medal!
